| ||Postcards from Tuscany vol. I: The Age of Dante |
A spin off of the Battles of the Middle Ages system
Another fine game from Roberto.
| ||Prussia Rising |
A game on the Franco Prussian War
Rules are simple and easy to learn,point of view is strategic.You can rule one die instead of two with simple probabilities(1/6 for green,2/6 for regulars and 3/6 for veterans,plus 123/6 if 4 on the first die).Game open with a lot of possibilities.
| ||Pusan Perimeter |
Operational level game of the events in Southern Korea
Much improved graphics. Great game.
| ||Red Guard |
A simulation of the political and ideological conflict that occurred in the People's Republic of China (PRC) from 1966-76
The concept of the game is fine but there is some puzzling thing about the start up of the game. Besides the numbers of counter do not fit the game.
| ||Reds are Better Dead: The First Bolshevik Offensive Jan 19, 1919 |
Covers the Bolshevik attack on the of the Americans during secret allied intervention in the Russian Civil War
| ||Remagen 1945 |
Battle for the Remagen bridge.
Great game. How many games have SS Frogmen and V-2 rockets?
| ||Riachuelo´s Naval Battle |
Riverine naval battle during the War of the Triple Alliance
Different sort of naval warfare, as there's little sailing room. Rules need a slight clean-up, map could be a larger scale with more river and less riverbanks. Unique subject.
| ||Risk: Over the Trenches |
If you have played Risk and like the basic game, but are looking for deeper strategic play, this is the game for you
Fun yet map needs attention.
| ||Roma Defendenda Est |
Battle for Rome, September 1943
The spaces around Central Rome were too tiny. I think a special extra map is needed.
| ||Rome's Greatest Foe: 2nd Punic War |
Can the wealthy trade city of Carthage and Hannibal's invasion force cripple Rome?
I did not actually play it but the rules and counter icons seem very well done. I like the ecomomics and manpower rules especially. The map consists of so many small (meaningless) areas it might as well have used hexes. Would make a good computer
